(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 15, 2013 ) PHOENIX AZ – Earlier this week, a woman and her daughter were driving north on I-17 around 3 a.m., on their way to Washington D.C. for spring break. At the same time a Jeep was traveling the wrong direction on the interstate causing a collision with the vehicle.
The daughter is being treated for a shattered leg at the Phoenix ChildrenÂ’s Hospital, while the mother of five remains unconscious. Doctors report that there is nothing they can do to fix the brain damage caused by the accident and only time will tell the effects of the damage.
Reports by the police officers show that the man driving the wrong direction on the interstate was impaired; however his blood alcohol level has yet to be released. The man is being charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage.
