 (EMAILWIRE.COM, May 25, 2013 ) San Jose, California -- When you run your own business, there is never a dull moment. Yesterday was an extra-ordinary day for the owner of PC Buddi. If you have never heard of PC Buddi before, that's not surprising because it just opened its doors this May 2013. PC Buddi was founded by Laura Luong and all the products, such as the Sleepy Bunny USB Mini Hub 2.0 are sold on Amazon only. Laura discovered that a seller (competitor) from China was using her product listing- the Eggplant USB Mini Hub 2.0 - on Amazon to sell their lower priced product, even though PC Buddi is Laura's company product brand. It might be the same product, but she private labeled it and put in all the effort to do all the pictures and product listing. If private labeling is new to you, all it means is that a manufacturer makes some generic products and allow merchants to purchase those items and put their own brand/logo on those products. I was surprised to hear her story as apparently anyone can just come in and be a parasitic pest. It looks like some people don't have any sense of ethics, moral and would do anything to make money. How far would you go to make money?
In the news and on TV we get to know about the most notorious white collar crimes, such as the famous Maddoff ponzi scheme where Bernard Madoff's investment company embezzled an estimated $65 Billion over the course of nearly two decades. But how about the little misconducts and wrongdoing that happen every day all over America? According to a survey done by the University of Florida in 2005, inventory shrinkage (= employee theft) was estimated to be $17.6 billion dollars per year. Are humans selfish, greedy and competitive by nature? I'm not a sociologist nor a behavior scientist but from what I've seen in the nearly forty plus year on this earth is that there are plenty of people who are willing to inconvenience themselves to help others. We always have a choice, either do it the right way or go down the wrong path. Our decisions define who we are.
