(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 28, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- Marc Whitten announced during the unveiling of the new Xbox system, Xbox One, XBox Live users will be able to save all of their data on cloud system. Users will also have dedicated game DVRs that will capture in-game moments and extend to matchmaking and achievements, which tell a personÂ’s personal story of how they play.
Players will be able to access their downloaded data from the cloud without interruptions from what they are doing. Multiplayer matches will be able to support as many as 128 participants instead of the previous 16 to 32.
Right now on the Xbox 360 system, Xbox Live, MicrosoftÂ’s digital media and online service, is available on both paid and free subscriptions. Members with a gold account have more access to content, applications and online multiplayer game play. Whitten says that membership will be based on the same membership users have today, but will be more powerful and more intelligent.
Xbox Live originally launched with the Xbox in November of 2002. It has been updated throughout the years, alongside the Xbox 360 in 2005 and then again in 2007 when it was extended to Windows platforms called Games for Windows - Live. In May of 2010, Microsoft shut down the servers to Xbox Live for original Xbox players.
