(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 15, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- The Reynolds American Inc has now launched a new version of the Vuse-brand e-cigarette. The new electronic cigarette model is promised by the company to create the 'perfect puff'. The Reynolds company is now looking to take the product nationwide.
The expansion will be part of a concerted push by the tobacco company to incorporate itself into the fast-growing business of electronic cigarettes.
The move was officially announced on Thursday by the owner of the company in its first e-cigarette distribution push, to show its diversity outside of the traditional cigarette business. Larger tax hikes and smoking bans, along with the continual social stigma created through the nefarious actions of the company in the past has caused the industry as a whole to see dips in revenue.
The Winston-Salem company, owner of the Camel, Pall Mall and Natural American Spirit packs has not disclosed the exact size of its own efforts for a national campaign push for a similar product. However, it is clear the company is aware and interested in making such a move.
The electronic cigarettes are battery-powered and heat liquid nicotine solutions that create a inhalable vapor. The use recreates the smoking habit without forcing the individual to take direct black smoke, and also avoids the many chemicals found in traditional cigarettes. E-cigarettes allow individuals to feel the “familiar ritual of the cigarette,” and now has well over 250 brands available, vying for the expanding market.
The new cigarettes have a much-wanted indicator for allowing an individual to know whether a cigarette is close to running out of usable solution. As of now, it is not possible to know just how many puffs one has left in their e-cig.
Reynolds stated it believes the new style “delivers on what smokers want,” when he addressed those concerns.
