(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 02, 2013 ) Livonia, MI – The titled show, “Singing Away Those Cancer Blues,” was produced and directed by a local 60’s big girl group, the WhatAbouts from Garden City. The Big Doo Wop trio, Kelly, Suzy and Deb, has a long track record of using their talent for the serious battle of fighting cancer.
The man with many voices, Michael Carluccio was quick to answer the call for help when asked to perform June 21, 2013. Michael moved his weekly Saturday night commitment at the Whitney House in Detroit and brought his 60Â’s and 70Â’s entertainment performance with Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones and Neil Diamond songs.
Currently, Michael is under contract at the Whitney House for the summer performing in a show called “Steak and Sinatra” for the up scaled dinner crowd. Everywhere he performs, the audience is transported back to their younger lives as they tap with beat and dance with their partners.
WendyÂ’s medical insurance will run out on June 30. All of the proceeds from the fund raiser (the cover charges, the raffles, the silent auctions and the donation) were entered in an account for WendyÂ’s bills and many out-of-pocket expenses.
Here is a list of the all the performers who donated their time and talent to raise support funds for Wendy Burbary:
The Optomystics, the Fantastic Four (Motown Sound), Kathleen Bressler (Pasty Cline Tribute Artist), Mario Messina (Dion and Dean Martin Tribute), Kurt McClain (Pop and Rap songs), Chuck Mulka (Guitar Classics), Elvis Kelly (Elvis Tribute), and the Sugar Factory Band.
