(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 04, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- RCRCC President Ed Johnson said he became interested in flying planes when he was 12 years old, so the event that happened made him very appreciative for all of the hard work that Clarkstown put into the aircraft event.
Radio-controlled aircraft flying has been a popular sport for decades, but it has become increasingly popular due to more electric miniature internal combustion engines and jet engines and machines that have become lighter and more powerfully batteries. Radio systems are are also less expensive.
Johnson hopes that the aerodrome event will cause visitors to become interest in technology and get interested in a career in aviation, while giving them a safe hobby that keeps them out of trouble.
An RC plane, which is a radio-controlled aircraft is managed with a remote which acts as a transmitter and receivers for the aircraft. That device is handheld and can navigate the plane, handle the speed and control the nose of the plane, which makes it go up or down.
