(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 08, 2013 ) San Clemente, CA -- According to a report by the Mirror, members of the Finnish government sent disposable pregnancy prevention tools - AKA condoms - along with traditional newborn items. Despite the unusual present, a spokesperson for the Kensington Palace said the couple was “delighted” to receive the gift and were very thankful for it.
The package that was sent to the Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is one that all Finnish mothers receive at the hospital when they give birth to their babies. Contents of the package include bra pads, romper suits and a cardboard box that doubles as an emergency crib. The package are reportedly considered to be why Finland has the worldÂ’s lowest infant mortality rate.
The DuchessÂ’ official due date is July 11. She is expected to give birth at the Lindo Wing of St. MaryÂ’s Hospitals, where many royal women give birth, but some reports say she will be delivering closer to her home in Paddington in a private, more natural environment. So far, the royal family has kept the secret on whether the baby will be a prince or princess, and the world is twiddling their thumbs to find out.
