Matt CuttÂ’s Alerts Releases Infograpgh on AlertID.com

(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 19, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- According to Sheriff Mike Haley of Washoe County, Nevada, the AlertID program is the single most important tool for law enforcement in the 30 years he has been in public service.

AlertID allows users to receive alerts for dangers in their area via a cellphone app or computer when they sign up for those alerts. The alerts are designed to help keep people informed about whatÂ’s going on, anything from severe weather to sex offenders.

When a child goes missing, the first three hours are the most critical for finding and retrieving that child unharmed. 800,000 children younger than 18 are reported missing each year, and 200,000 are abducted by family members, while only 58,000 are abducted by nonfamily members. A 2006 study confirmed that approximately 76.2 percent of children who are abducted and subsequently killed are dead within the first 3 hours of the abduction.

AlertID was created by a mother mother of three in 2009 when she became seperated from her children for almost an hour. While she got her children back, the event prompted her to begin creating AlertID to help other families protect lost and missing children.

AlertIDÂ’s platform allows Public Safety Organizations to deliver important alerts for the public to receive quickly, including amber alerts to help get the word out faster for a quicker recovery time for children. Other alerts include crime, sex offenders, terrorism, natural disasters and severe weather.

Emergency Alerts, that include critical information, are sent to the the public immediately for faster reaction time. 172 types of crimes that affect public safety and wellbeing of families are sent out by AlertID from the FBI and other law enforcement agencies.

AlertID also helps to make communicating online as safe as possible for families. Children between the ages of 10 and 17 have a 4 percent chance of receiving a sexual solicitation online where offline contact was attempted. AlertIDÂ’s secure social network enables families to share online with their friends without worrying about the anonymity of strangers who may not have their best interests at heart.

Since being created in 1984, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has received over 3.7 million calls, and 183,000 children have been saved by the program when they have assisted law enforcement in their recovery. Today, the program as a 97 percent recovery rate for missing children.
