(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 22, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- There are a series of presentations being planned in Oklahoma City in order to plan out the repair and rebuilding of damaged areas due to tornados. The severe storms that have rocked the area have left a path of destruction and now the city must consider the best ways to rebuild.
The Rebuild Expo event is currently scheduled for August 3 at the Westmoore High School. Those who are property owners are able to attain information on fixing homes or business establishments. There is information regarding improvements to existing properties as well as energy efficient/storm resistant upgrades. The event will begin at 9 a.m. And will continue throughout the day. Planned presentations will begin at noon.
T.O. Bowman, the program coordinator of the Oklahoma CityÂ’s Office of Sustainability stated that there are several organizations in a focused area to allow homeowners plenty of potential to learn how to improve their homes and rebuild their lives.
When it comes to the available information, property owners will be given everything from energy efficient construction options to consumer protection information. Water quality and health concerns in regards to rebuilding and storm prevention will also be presented to allow owners to be fully informed. Examples will be given to owners, including recent examples from areas recovering from tornado and storm damage. Such areas include communities like Joplin, Missouri and Greensburg, Kansas.
While each storm and disaster holds unique challenges, there are general practices property owners can follow to be both prepared, and to help rebuild quickly. The Expo is aimed at making sure owners in the area are armed with all the best knowledge and understanding of options.
