(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 16, 2013 ) Houston, TX -- The Wheeling Planning Commission in West Virginia is expected to make a decision soon on a companyÂ’s application to make a recycled wastewater plant in the town. Two meetings have been held before on the subject, but the commission denied the application in both June and July, saying they needed more information before they could approve it.
Information sought by the commission includes documentation from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection and the W. Va. Department of Transportation, showing that the project will meet their guidelines for the plant. The commissioners also asked for documentation from the US EPA showing that the plant will not emit excessive amounts of radiation.
The proposed plant would be located off of West VirginiaÂ’s Route 2 will use recycle wastewater from hydraulic drilling, also known as fracking.
