(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 16, 2013 ) San Francisco, CA -- With the Minecraft Xbox 360 holding the top spot on the United Kingdom charts for the third week in a row and the combined effort of 4J Studios and Mojang producing sales of over 8 million for the Minecraft franchise, one would think there would be no room for improvement.
However, 4J Studios recently submitted the new Minecraft Xbox TU 12 update to Microsoft for Certification Testing. Based on previous updates, the length of time it will take for the update to be certified varies but the announcement has caused a frenzy of speculation on popular Minecraft forums. A frenzy of discussions are also taking place on the new functions and enhancements the update consists of.
Certification and Release
One of the hottest topics on the forum is the release date for the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12. Purplemonkey273 hopes it will be ready for his birthday, he says, "All the bug fixes that I can remember have taken only a few days. Otherwise, if they add features, they take the full 10 days. With that, I predict the 27th for a release, which is my birthday (I know it probably won't happen, but still..."
Other gamers believe it may be as early as five days from now. THE_ZIPPER says, "I think last major update (TU 9) took only 5 to 7 days but I could be wrong. I just can't wait for the new update. It's gonna be pretty amazing. Thank you 4J and whoever works on the Xbox version of Minecraft."
Upgrades
Ocelots will be an added feature to the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12. With them, a gamer can create and explore a jungle as well as use jungle wood for construction including jungle wood half slabs, jungle wood block and jungle wood stairs. Jungle tree sapling and jungle wood plants can also be grown. "I'm going to start a new game based on my current seed to see if a jungle pops up. If it does, then SWEET! If not, then I'll play with the new features that pop up in my current seed," says SavageDias.
Jungles as a form of exploration ground is on the minds of many gamers. Ubergine said, "I've got an epic TU7 world that I've left unexplored. First thing I'll do is make a copy of it then explore that copy to see if I luck onto a jungle."
