Influential Leaders from Cisco Systems, Rackspace, SAP AG, Infor, Social Data Lab, TCG Advisors, and TSIA Set to Take the Stage at Technology Services World (TSW) Service Transformations

(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 06, 2013 ) SAN DIEGO, CA -- The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for todayÂ’s technology services organizations, announced a world-class keynote lineup for the 2013 Technology Services World (TSW) Service Transformations conference, taking place October 21-23 at the ARIA Resort in Las Vegas. The 2013 keynote lineup is the largest in TSW history, with eight industry thought leaders providing definitive guidelines for reorienting a maturing tech industry for a new phase of growth.

The 2013 keynote lineup is as follows:

Day One
In his opening keynote address, TSIA president and CEO J.B. Wood will deliver a game-changing discussion based on his highly anticipated new book, "B4B—How Technology and Big Data Are Reinventing the Customer-Supplier Relationship." Wood is co-author of the book—along with Todd Hewlin of TCG Advisors and TSIA’s Thomas Lah—which will be released in conjunction with TSW. Wood’s keynote session, “B4B: The Next Generation of Technology-Fueled, Data-Driven Operating Models,” will explore the root causes of the current impasse that often stalls customer spending. He also will unveil a completely new framework that helps companies better align how they operate with how their customers achieve outcomes.

Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor, will then present “Innovating Technology Services: It's No Longer the Status Quo.” Phillips will share insights and examples of how services are transforming within technology providers. Attendees will learn that it's not just about more product features, but a fundamental rethink about proactive service delivery, support, and business insights.

Anand Eswaran, executive vice president for SAP Global Services and former Chief Scientist for Amazon, will deliver “SAP's Transformation to Outcome-Based Service Offerings.” Eswaran will outline key success factors in today’s economy, the impact of evolving Millennials’ buying behavior, and what the emergence of prevailing technologies (cloud, big data, mobile) mean for services organizations.

Todd Hewlin, managing director at TCG Advisors, will present the final keynote of Day One: “Navigating B4B.” Hewlin will share strategies for navigating from B2B to B4B. He will discuss the common challenges facing companies that must deliver near-term financial results on the back of the traditional CapEx model while also building new assets, capabilities, and market traction around the future consumption-based models.

Day Two
Opening up Day Two, Rackspace chairman and co-founder Graham Weston will deliver an impactful keynote titled “Focusing on Great Service Fuels Innovation.” Weston will discuss the Rackspace mission of delivering Fanatical Service outcomes for its customers, and how that focus has turned Rackspace into one of the world's leading hosting companies.

Dr. Andreas Weigend, who directs the Social Data Lab and teaches at Stanford, Berkeley, and Fudan, will deliver a “Business Analytics Keynote.” In his speaking engagements, Weigend shares his insights on the untapped power of data, challenging the minds of his audiences to help them understand the irreversible change in how individuals express themselves, relate to one another, and make purchasing decisions.

Day Three
On Day Three, Nick Earle, senior vice president of Cisco Worldwide Services Field Operations, will discuss “The Future of Service Sales.” Earle will outline the changes happening in today’s technology services industry. He’ll also discuss the key drivers for growth as the IT environment moves from hardware centricity to a world of software, services, data, and analytics.

In his closing TSW keynote address, TSIA executive director Thomas Lah will discuss “Consequences of B4B.” Specifically Lah will discuss the outcome-based services portfolio, the outcome-based organizational structure, and the outcome-based financial models.

“This is both an exciting and game-changing time to be in technology services,” says TSIA’s J.B. Wood. “With services as an essential pillar, it’s time for tech suppliers and their customers to rethink their partnerships. The rise of B4B will help reorient a maturing tech industry for a new phase of growth. TSW will teach attendees the capabilities they will need, and what role they will play in it.”
