Although lamella clarifiers offers significant advantages over traditional clarifiers, there are several drawback involved in the configuration and operation of lamella clarifiers. For instance, this equipment lacks in treating most raw feed mixtures, and therefore requires some pre-treatment in order to remove materials which could lead to decrease in separation efficiency of the system.
